Drop-ins are free or donation-based events in the community, that do not require booking. They often run on a regular basis, with a focused activity or purpose, e.g. a coffee morning or a crafts session.
Community Voices are an Edinburgh Collective Advocacy group. The group meets monthly in Dalry and is accepting new members. Group members agreed that there are not enough drop-ins and community spaces where people in Edinburgh can meet to socialise, and that they wanted to hear from people in Edinburgh about the drop-ins that are currently available.
The survey is for anyone living in Edinburgh who is over 16 years old. You do not need to have attended a drop-in to take part. It takes about 10 minutes to complete.
Angharad and Irene, the Edinburgh Collective Advocacy workers, will be visiting community centres and relevant organisations to talk to people about the survey and gather responses.
Community Voices and Edinburgh Collective Advocacy will publish a report of their findings from the survey. The group hope to present this report to funding bodies, community centres, service providers. Your responses will help us understand what is available in Edinburgh, and what is instead lacking. We hope this will influence provision of services and urge decision-makers to take people’s needs into account.
Please fill in the survey now.
