The CAPS AGM is an opportunity to support CAPS and meet the team. You’ll be able to catch up with Collective Advocacy participants, CAPS members, trustees, CAPS staff and others from Scotland’s voluntary sector. It’s a day of celebration of Independent Advocacy where you’ll learn about how it’s helping Scotland’s marginalised citizens have their voices heard. You’ll hear from CAPS’ CEO and Chair about all the other things we’ve been up to this year and some reflections on the future of funding for Collective Advocacy. Every year we like to bring you a presentation about something special from the year and this year will be no different as we highlight veterans Collective Advocacy.
Veterans Collective Advocacy workers Stephanie and Steven joined us in April 2025 to provide Independent Advocacy to this group. Stephanie has worked in Scotland’s prisons for many years and is gathering the experiences and thoughts of veterans in prison. Meanwhile Steven, a veteran himself, has been travelling up and down Scotland speaking to the veterans community. Come along to find out more about the insights that Stephanie and Steven have gathered.
There’s always lovely food and we always have too much of it so come along and help us eat it!
