Gathering Peer Voices: networking and conversations on peer practice in Edinburgh.

Welcome to the fourth Gathering Peer Voices but the first one to be in person!

This event is open to Edinburgh’s Peer Workers, Peer Volunteers and all people interested in mental health, recovery & lived experience, who would like to learn about and contribute their views on how we can strengthen peer practice in Edinburgh.

Our theme for this gathering will be Reconnection. Conversations will focus on how we can reconnect as a community now that in person meet ups are more possible.

What is peer work?

Peer workers use their own lived experience of mental health issues in an intentional way to benefit others. Peer work can be paid or voluntary. At CAPS, peer volunteers take part in Collective Advocacy projects where they share their lived experience to raise and challenge issues and work to bring about change.
