Are you interested in mental health in Minority Ethnic communities and/or want to be more inclusive of people from these communities in your practice?

The Minority Ethnic Collective Advocacy group at CAPS is pleased to announce the dates for their workshop series: Insights into Minority Ethnic Mental Health.

This is an experience-led workshop series containing three monthly workshops. The workshops focus on the challenges faced by us as people from Minority Ethnic communities, living in Scotland. We look at how this impacts our mental health. In addition we look at how these challenges create barriers when trying to access services outside of our cultural experiences.

Workshop 1: Racial Discrimination in Scotland, and the UK – Monday 20th February 1:30-3pm

Workshop 2: Our everyday realities – Monday 20th March 1:30-3pm

Workshop 3: Mental health stigma within Minority Ethnic communities and challenges accessing services – Monday 17th April 1:30-2:30pm

We encourage participation at all three workshops however, this is not mandatory.

These workshops are free to attend and will be held online via Zoom. To register your interest please email Mohasin at mohasin@capsadvocacy.org
