Are drop-ins a space for ‘just a cuppa and a chat’, or do they mean more than that? How can we protect them for our communities?
We are holding launch events to share our recent report on Drop-In services in Edinburgh. This survey was created by Community Voices – a Collective Advocacy group of people with lived experience of mental health issues, in response to shared concerns about the provision of drop-in services. Over 100 people responded to our survey to share their views on community drop-in services. Our findings are very clear – these services are important to people in Edinburgh and have an impact on people’s wellbeing and mental health.

Come along and speak to the group and collective advocacy staff about this topic, and to discuss what we can do next. There will be refreshments and optional activities. This event is open to anyone, including members of the public, service staff and volunteers and decision makers. As part of our Collective Advocacy work, this will be a non-judgemental space which prioritises voices of lived experience.

Contact angharad@capsadvocacy.org if you would like a copy of the report, or have any questions or access requirements. SMCRC is a wheelchair accessible venue.
