Out Of Sight Out Of Mind Call For Art is out!

Call for Art

People who have or have had mental health issues are invited to submit an artwork to the 13th Out of Sight Out of Mind exhibition which will be held in October 2025 at Summerhall in Edinburgh.

  • Take part either as an individual or as a group
  • One artwork per person
  • Artworks can be in any media (paintings, sculptures, drawings, installations, films, animations, sound works, photographs, craft and anything else).
  • Artworks can be about anything that you choose. If you wish, you can respond to this years’ theme Comfort & Disturb, but it is not a requirement
  • Artwork Submissions closing date: 12pm Monday 7 July 2025

New for 2025! Two options for submitting artwork

1. As usual, submit your artwork, your way. Individually or as a group. Use the Artwork Submission form.

OR

2. Join the Comfort & Disturb Canvas installation. We provide the canvas; you make your artwork on it and bring it to the exhibition! We will make a large installation with the canvases at the exhibition. Use the Canvas Submission form.

Materials Grants

You can apply for a materials grant to make an artwork for this years’ Out of Sight Out of Mind exhibition.

  • Individuals can apply for up to £50
  • Groups can apply for up to £200 (A group is 4 or more.)
  • Send your form by email with ‘Materials Grant’ in the subject line to exhibition@capsadvocacy.org Or, by post: Freepost CAPS
  • You don’t have to apply for a grant to take part
  • Grant application closing date: 12pm (midday) on Monday 2 June 2025
