CAPS Independent Advocacy has published its consultation report on Future Pathways, the Scottish Government’s initiative to support adult survivors of abuse and neglect in care before they were 18. In 2020 Future Pathways approached CAPS to carry out an independent consultation with anyone who was eligible to access their service, as part of their survivor engagement programme. The consultation was to understand what aspects of Future Pathways have worked well and what could be improved.
We asked questions such as ‘How do you want a service like this to make you feel?’ and ‘What’s important to include in a service for people who have experienced in care abuse or neglect?’ The full report is now available or you can contact Ele on ele@capsadvocacy.org for a hard copy.
