The Oor Mad History group warmly invites you to join our interactive workshop. It will focus on group members’ own lived experience of mental health issues and the different models of health in mental health services.

'Oor Mad History Workshop, 3 September 10am to 1pm Norton Park, Edinburgh, please book by emailing azra@capsadvocacy.org' with a historical print of 'melancholy', the CAPS and Oor Mad History logos.

What is the biomedical model? What other models are used in mental health services? How does our social context affect our mental states? How can society contribute to “madness?” How should we meet “madness?”

Led by the Oor Mad History collective advocacy group, the workshop centres the voices, research and experiences of people who have used mental health services. Everyone is welcome to join us to learn from the valuable insights based on lived experience rather than textbooks.

How to register: you can either book through Eventbrite here, or contact azra@capsadvocacy.org
